Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-07-02
EvenShift (“we”) is a staff-scheduling application for restaurants, bars, and cafés, operated in Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, where it lives, and your rights. The person responsible for personal-information protection is EvenShift’s founder, reachable at s.zaripov95@gmail.com.
What we collect
Account information: name, email, and password (hashed by Google Firebase Authentication — we never see your password). Team data: managers enter their staff’s name, email, position, maximum weekly hours, and optionally an hourly rate. The manager confirms they have the authority to enter this information for their team. Scheduling data: availability, time-off requests, hours preferences, assigned shifts and their reasons. Billing: handled by Stripe; card numbers never touch our servers. Technical data: cookieless, aggregate analytics — no advertising trackers.
Why we collect it
Only to run the service: generating fair schedules, showing published weeks to your team, billing your subscription, and answering support. We never sell or rent personal information.
Where your data lives
Data is hosted on Google Firebase (us-central1 region, United States) and served through Vercel; billing data lives with Stripe. Your information is therefore stored outside Quebec and outside Canada, under those providers’ contractual safeguards.
Sharing
Only with our technical processors (Google, Stripe, Vercel), and only to operate the service. Within your organization, your availability and shifts are visible to your manager — that’s how the product works.
Retention and deletion
Data is kept while the organization’s account is active. Email us to access, correct, or delete your information — we respond within 30 days.
Security
Encryption in transit (TLS), access rules that scope every read and write to your own organization, and restricted server-side credentials.
Cookies and local storage
We use browser local storage for your session and language preference. No advertising cookies.
